Organization Network

Part 4: Link to other organizations with this function

The Organization Network feature enables data sharing between different organizations. An entity can grant access to some or all their ESG data to another organization.

Some use-cases for this feature include but are not limited to:

  • Subsidiaries reporting to a holding-company and vice-versa

  • Organizations who need to track data across several external vendors

  • Landlords tracking data across a number of reporting tenants

To grant access or receive access, click on the Organization Network function in the lefthand side navigation bar.

4.1. Grant Access

To grant an organization and a user access, fill in the receiving user’s email address;

Select the allowed permissions the user will receive (refer to Team Members) and click on the ‘Grant access’ button.

Once completed, users will see the registered network organization and contact email. Note the connection status will remain ‘pending,’ until the receiving party accepts the connection request.

After the receiving organization accepts the request, the status will change. At any time, the user can edit the permissions offered to the other organization.

4.2. Receiving a Grant Access code

A user receiving a grant access code, will receive the email below. The user clicks on the ‘go to Organization Network’ link to proceed.

The user clicks on ‘I received a code’ button, then enters the access code and clicks on the ‘verify’ button.

Once verified, the user reviews the request and can either accept or reject it.

Once the request is accepted, the receiving organization has the other organization registered as a ‘provider’ of data.
