Calculated Indicators

Part 9: Defining your own calculations

The functions under the calculated indicators tab allow users freedom to define their own methods of calculating indicators against each other.

Calculated Indicators tab

This is useful for when the organization has unique requirements that cannot be fulfilled by the existing aggregation logic present in the system.

To create a new calculation method, user first clicks the create button in the top right corner, which brings them to the configuration page shown below.

To create a calculated indicator, a few components are required.

  1. Input indicators

  2. Output indicators

  3. Calculation type

User then proceeds to fill up the form fields with relevant information, before reviewing and clicking submit. The newly created calculation will be displayed under the calculated indicators tab. User may then click the output indicator to begin configuring and recording data; the created calculation method will then use this data to automatically output the required value.
